Senga Nengudi I

I mostly enjoy the use of materials and the transparent quality.

Senga Nengudi is a magical, wondrous embodiment of feminist art and feminisms. She is one of the most important artists working in the world today, and among the top five in the USA in my opinion. Her work is
resplendent, shamanistic, vital, basic, fundamental and profound. Contemporary and parallel to Eva Hesse for me but she (as Eva Hesse might have...) goes way way way beyond mere form. Her work is simply the closest a human being can get to the spiritual world for me in material form, using the most sparest of materials she manages to capture contemporary existences in a way no other artist does. Work of the highest possible revolutionary quality--expanding the possibilities of art and making vital space, her work is as essential as air to breathe for me. Goddess like.
